GLENN CLIFFORD WEBSTER AMES
SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE:
Dr. Ames, Director of the Office of International Public Service and Outreach, has extensive experience in managing student and faculty exchanges, curriculum and economic development projects. Since 1973, he has been awarded a wide range of external contracts and grants supporting graduate student training in the Congo, institution building in Burkina Faso, student exchange programs in the Republic of Georgia (USIA Samantha Smith program), curriculum reform with the University of the West Indies in Trinidad (USIA College and University Affiliation Program), and directing graduate students from Russia, Armenia and Tajikistan under the auspices of the Edmund S. Muskie & Freedom Support Act Graduate Fellowship Program. He has studied Small Farmer Associations in the Dominican Republic and farm credit needs in El Salvador and Bolivia.
